I hope she recovers and takes the time she needs to do so. It is interesting that Yamazaki replaced Okamura in the role of Nami in One Piece when she had to take time off due to her pregnancy back in 2001, and now Okamura will replace Yamazaki for Ran.

I remember how jarring it was when the voice actor for Mouri Kogoro changed. (I always preferred the original, his portrayal was more authoritative than whiny alcoholic and was more believable as a former great detective that all his former police colleagues and the public still looked up to)

As a fan (I love her voice and have been buying various works she has been in - tracking down the image albums she's sung on helped me cope with lockdown) I hope she has a full recovery (preferably soon).
I also hope this does not affect her involvement in the DOA revival (just announced) |

It's funny how both seiyuu have played each others' sisters in One Piece and have now filled in for each other on their own shows.
That being said, I hope Yamazaki-san takes the time she needs to recover. |
