The Good:
- The Dub is really good. (Bunta voice is perfect and "Iggy" voice is good) - The Sub are easy to read. - The DVD menus looks cool. (Tokyopop is good at that) - The Japanese music is really good. Even if its the music that you can find in some of Konami Bemani games. - I hate to say it but some of English version (EV) music is actualy good. - $20 (Actually it was $15, Suncoast rules) The Bad: - The EV music seem a bit to loud at time and becomes really annoying. - The Custom version was nice but was dissapointing (wish the music can be customizable but I'm only dreaming) - Some flaws in the dubbing. - The big music problem is really that Big. - Only 3 episodes. The Ugly: - Enhanced "Visual"... What the Hell??? In the End the dub... is cool, the rest of the modifications... sucks. The music is good and goes with the US Car culture, but it looks odd in with the Japanese way of racing. |

Personally, I really disliked most of the script changes for the dub (the voice acting wasn't too bad, but it was still mediocre.)
As far as the music? I really didn't care for any of it in the english dub... It felt like it lacked character... and it seemed to me poorly mixed in there, like I was watching a poorly made anime music video. To be honest with you, it's almost like the poster child for the bad dubs argument in the sub vs. dub wars... As far as the DVD menus, Tokyopop didn't make them... I think they hired Nightjar for this one as well? |
