I just play and finish Naruto:Uzamaki Chronicles 2 for the PS2. And the make me wish I didn't bring my PS2 out of retirement. The entire game was very unimpressive to say the least. The game lacks the sprit and feel of the anime. Not to say that rabid fans of Naruto will not enjoy this game. But its come off as a quick cash in for the series. Which to be honest what the vast majority of anime video games are. I personally feel that the Naruto license is trying to cover up the game many faults. Which its totally fail to do because the game is mediorce at best. The entire story and setup is so bad that its feels like you playing through a bad Naruto filler episode. It's some garbage about that is stems from Shirogane clan,a nearly extinct group of ninja that specialize in puppet mastery. In an attempt to release their master puppet from a ethereal prison, the remaining clan members have been savaging the countryside with their puppet army while looking for a set of mystical orbs. Now,can you say with a striaght face that the story doesn't sound generic. The gameplay is totally uninspire. Which involve you getting missions from your central hub the leaf village. Of course, you can do the missions with Naruto and two allies to help you with the mission. The main problem is you can do almost all the mission with Naruto alone. So switching between characters is pointless. And the missions are basicially the same thing. Which is to beat all generic foes and advance. The combat is so overly easy that you can probably finish the game in a day or two. The graphics are just okay even by PS2 standards. Need I say more about this game. The only redeeming quality about this game is the cutscenes and inventory/skills system. If that enough for you be mine guest and buy the game. But if you are looking for a deeper experience looks elsewhere. No offense, but I have more fun with a Naruto flash game. It's seems like things has gone downhill for the Naruto video games series since Naruto:Ultimate Ninja. Please,I am begging you to not spend a penny on this license garbage. If you are trying to get a Naruto fix please wait until the release of Naruto:Rise of the Ninja for the Xbox 360. They are at least trying in that game.
