english movies with japanese audio?

is there a place to find these dvds, such as starwars and lord of the rings japanese dvds with the japanese dub?

Pretty sure they don't exist. The best you could find would be with japanese subtitles.

Many non-Japanese film DVDs with Japanese dub tracks are released in Japan. They are Region 2 NTSC DVDs, though.
For example, these DVDs have Japanese dub tracks:

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Ok now I can understand why people would watch anime in the Japanese dub but you do realize that these were made in english right? English is the original language for those movies not Japanese. Doesn't really make sense to me why you would want it in Japanese.

I can see watching them in Japanese if you were wanting to learn the language...

My Japanese is at the level where I can easily get lost when attempting to read a novel in Japanese. I can follow a book I've read before that is translated in Japanese. This takes much longer, but is sometimes a fun exercise. For the most part I pick up the Japanese translated versions of my favorite SF/F novels for the novelty, alternate cover art, and occasional interior art.
