I may have missed seeing this in the news, and it could just possibly be another joke card, but I was watching Lupin the 3rd just now and they just stated that Animatrix was coming to Adult Swim: Check your local listings for time.
Now, in this same cards they stated that the Hilton sisters aren't that hot (which I agree with. Personally I find them very shallow and plasticky looking). So, I don't know how much stock to put into that, but it's certainly something to think about.
Any words of confirmation from the staff?

Yeah, lots of good mentions. Plus
"Invisible airwaves crackle with life."
Rush ownz, baby. Best thing Canada ever gave the world. Better than Molson. Better than Gilles Villeneuve. Way better than Supertramp. Slightly better than Neil Young.
Rush is the best.

Didn't the same thing happen with FLCL last year? They ran a joke card about it and they wound up showing FLCL in the summer. I think it's safe to say that Animatrix will be shown on AS this year.

Seriously? Better than Celine Dion and Avril Lavigne?
I'm not a butt-rock fan, but I can't deny it - Rush Rocks.

I heard that AS also mentioned that the Inuyasha fans were spawns of the devil, which was a bumper aired during CB. Does anyone know of a place where I can get a screencap of this bumper?

I didn't watch the Animatrix, but I think putting it on AS would be cool anyway, as long as they don't replace anything good..

Oh boy, The Animatrix. Only a year or so after it became passe.
What a coup, CN.

Bah, I didn't like Animatrix, 'course I didn't like Reloaded or Revelations either. I thought it would be awesome, but it ended up being a big let down, so I am not particularly excited about CN encouraging the viewing of it.

Hey I think that'd be awesome. The Animatrix is the kind of thing I want to see, but I don't want to spend the money on it.

Actually, I though Reloaded and Revelations were awesome. Revelations was bloody brilliant. Of course, to enjoy those last two films, you really need to think about the symbolism in the scenes and even the names that they use. It's good once you understand the movies.
And Craeyst, I must agree with you. The Hiltons aren't that hot at all. In fact, I think they're pretty ugly.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Animatrix came to CN. It would only be natural since after FLCL, they're looking for the next short hit. People would most definitely watch it since it's Matrix related, but from all the mixed feelings on it, I don't know how well it'll fare once it's been aired...

Oh, come on. I think the totally underwhelming grosses for The Matrix Revolutions and the overwhelmingly negative public reaction to both Matrix sequels (and don't answer this with "But I liked it!". I liked it too, but face facts, most people didn't.) means that nobody really cares about this anymore.
If they want event programming, they should get something that isn't an 'event' from last year.

I agree with your sentiment... I certainly don't care, and in fact I did not enjoy either of the Matrix sequels, but the Animatrix wasn't half-bad. Anyway I think CN is going more for name-recognition value more than anything else. My response was more to the tone than anything.
