...A few questions

1. Um, how does an adapter work, do I need to know anything about 'em before I mess with 'em (like instalation for instance), and where can I get one online for a good price.

2. Does anyone know if I'll be able to find translations to the instruction booklet (or game) online, because I wanna know how to play a game where I can't understand what they're saying.

Uh, I guess that's it. Any help would be greatly appreciated Anime catgrin

1. An adapter to play imports? If so I you could buy a mod chip that you would have to install. I think they have a swap disc adapter for ps2 now.

Where could I get a mod chip, or a swap disc adapter, or whatever?

You can get them online, thats the only way I know of. A site called www.modchip.com has mod chips for any system. www.modchip.ca should have swap discs on their site.

I don't remember exactaly where I heard this from, but the game takes place in the alternate universe seen in episode 26 ("are you riding his boloney pony"). So a few things are different, like, that angel never possess Eva 03, and Eva 04 didn't get destroyed (as a matter a fact, Karow now pilots it).

Hmm.. I saw Newtype's coverage of the game and I wasn't too impressed. The corporate airheads simply had to alter Unit 01 into a lumbering behemoth... (blue12 shakes his head). My main gripe with the game is that they chose the wrong artist to "beef up" Unit 01 because the artist's style is completely contrary to that of Eva. Does the standard Eva rifle look like a curvacious and elegant weapon with pretty colors or does it feel like a common military tool?

Everything that Ikuto Yamashita designed/modified has an embellished feeling to it; everything looks more complicated than it has to be and some feel a bit overdone. The prog-dagger he designed looks more like a ceremonial artifact from a fantasy world than something that can be replaced if lost in combat. The gunblade he was told to design suffers from the same problem. The double-chainsaw suffers froma bad paint job (the axe and halberd from the anime didn't have paint jobs and didn't need any).

In essence, I think they've unsuccessfully tried to mixed the contemporary feel of the anime with the ornamental/elegant style of Yamashita. Granted Yamashita did make a conscious effort to avoid making the "heavy armor" Unit 01 too robot-like, I think he could have done better and avoided putting thrust verniers on Unit-01's hips.

I have yet to play the game itself and the Newtype report didn't share many details on game play. It did mention that there will be a focus on searching for clues and answers about the past and questions that the anime left unanswered. Newtype also reported that the atmosphere of lies and subterfuge will also be in play as info yielded by different characters may contradict each other (as in what Gendo may imply and what Ritsuko will say).

Mecha combat is definite and from the pics you'll be fighting the old Angels and mass-production EVAs.

I know the odds are 1 in 1,000,000,000, but would anyone happen to know if its coming state side, or am I just holding on to false hope. The few video game websites I reguraly hit haven't said anything.

I don't know if it's coming here, but I think that if the movie is ever to be made, it may eventually be released here. Also, since ADV seems to have gotten all nice and big now, who knows, they may help produce an English version for our side. Games have been released before will a less likely chance of selling then an Eva game.

*Smiles sweetly at any ADV people who may be reading this*

It would probably make more sense to write Bandai Games, since, ya know, they own it, and would be the ones to release it here.
