For all of you have finished the series Gunslinger Girl I'd like to understand just why it ended that way.
I feel there was very little resolution to anything.
What we see is Elsa's unrequitted love and its end result. What we get to see is how the other girls respond to it and Agelica sickness, and before all of this an episode introduction for all of the main characters.
There was also a setup story for the fall of section 2 by some higher ups. (from which a number of things can occur)
There is also the question of the elusive terrorists seen in 2-3 episodes.
To me it is very clear that this show is unfinished and should it end here (ep13) I would be extremely irritated.
Now one could look at this series and say the story as a whole is too dark like Noir or a personal fav Gungrave but I've always believed you have to go one way or another with it. Not just stay in the middle.
Yes I am highly aware of many issues from other anime companies due to financial problems not being able to complete and other various instances, but I dont get it.
Could it be that the fact that these children have a low life span and will eventually die be why its true drive is left untouched?
From what I got of episode 13 is that while watching the shooting stars and Marco and the others dealing with Angelica that even if they are brain washed even if the whole entire world they live in is dour, they have to have spend time to breathe and remain content in something or someone.
Perhaps I missed something but to the end and it turns rather wierd and lowers the serie's value a notch for me.
questions? comments?
