I'm surprised at how little attention this anime has gotten. Although it has its flaws, being seen by only 30 people is completely unjustified. Considering Gallery Fake had 37 episodes made it should be a sign that there is something there worth watching.
In my opinion the value comes from the great story line. Although it is the typical portrayal of "a good guy, gets a bad rep," the originality comes from the content. Each episode gives an educational insight into the art world, and at the same time provides us with character development, humor, and considerable entertainment. Perhaps the difficulty comes from actually finding this series subbed. So far to my knowledge only 19 episodes have been fan-subbed, since no official sub exists, so if you do not understand Japanese it might be difficult to see the whole series. Hopefully more episodes will be subbed. If you give it a chance, please share your opinions, or any information you might have on it. |
