YES, its coming out at the end of this month Who's getting it? If you have no idea what I'm talking about, SE is the story of Kubikiri Asa, who appeared in Lone Wolf and Cub as Decapitator Asaemon. It's from the same authors as LW, and seeing how that is one of the most influencial and reveared mangas ever, not to mention succesful (I believe it remains the top selling manga in the US), it should make a great read for anyone looking for some samurai action. Can't wait for the 28

Finally picked it up, and it doesn't disapoint.I was expecting it to be exacally like Lone Wolf and Cub, but its very diffrent. While the storytelling elements are indeed like LWaC (and there is actually even more brutality that LWaC), it often focuses more on the crimes or secondary characters than Kubikiri Asa. In many ways its almost like a leason in the structure of the feudal Japanese law and government systems. Not quite a masterpiece (yet at least), but still good.

I love Lone Wolf and Cub and I really want to read Samurai Executioner.....but I live in a small town in Idaho, so we don't get things very quickly.

Hmm, seems this is a problem. Most book stores get things late, and many don't carry Lone Wolf and Cub, so the chances of SE showing up there are slim. If you have a decent comic book store near your house, they always carry things the day they come out. Of if it comes odwn to it you can always ask the store clerk to do a special order for you.

Yeah I'll probably have to special order mine...although the Barnes & Noble here has been getting some manga types that they didn't use to.
