Thats really cheap so the binding will probably be terrible and prone to cracking and creasing. Ugh.

That collection's spine looks like it'll break just by looking at it...

I recently bought the Air Gear omnibus Volume 1 the other day and that's around 600 pages and to me that's hard to hold onto enough as it is. To see a series condensed into one volume 4x the size just sounds ridiculous.

I think I'm gonna be just fine with my box set of the original volumes.

That's why I'm careful about omnibus releases and try to get single volumes if possible (the additional cover art is a plus too). This thing almost looks like a joke release, I'd have expected them to use hardcover for a book with that many pages.

Hmm...I prefer the Black Editions. They're still my favorite.

I have the version of Nausicaä that was compiled in two volumes, and find it really hard to find a comfortable reading position because it's too heavy to hold in your hands for more than a few minutes.
Publishing Death Note like this is really a terrible idea, and I somehow doubt that they thought anyone will be able to comfortably read it like this. Well, maybe collectors will like it.

I wouldn't mind getting this omnibus. Now my mom can't complain about the amount of manga I have because it's just one volume.

I don't think I will enjoy this. The price is tempting though.

With that span? More like Death Dictionary. Hope it comes West either way.

I don't think I have the willpower to read 2,400 all in one book... Plus, the bending of the spine could eventually cause the big book to break apart.
