Eventually there's going to be a light novel with a title too long to fit on the cover.

They'll first have it so part of the cover will simply fold out, so they can expand the amount of cover space. We'll probably finally reach a point where titles will appear shorter again where they have a few characters in large print, but much like the security feature on paper money, when you look closer with a magnifying glass those characters will actually be composed of finer print that will spell out the rest of the title in full.

There are already a few with titles too long to fit into certain databases.

Those are long? The full title to either Robinson Crusoe or Moll Flanders is longer than the full title of I'm Being Strangled and its English translation combined.
