Well this is troublesome, as they are in the midst of recording season 2, I suppose they could just switch him out and re-record his lines for the first few episodes, though that would make it weird going between season 1 and 2 with different actors when everyone else so far is consistent.

Unless CR are doing a wait and see approach before making a decision.

It never stops does it, every time I think the VA community gets rid of a scumbag another one pops up. I hope all the best for Avery reading through the piece and there twitter chain about it all is heart-breaking.

They just started S2 a few weeks back, episode 3 drops today. I could see them switching him out from likely next week / the week after with a close enough voice match for new episodes and going back later to sort out the first couple of episodes, wouldn't be the first time they switched out VA's between seasons.

Both HIDIVE & Crunchyroll are likely running there own internal reviews since this information only dropped on Thursday of last week and my guess would be neither want to get dragged into this publicly especially CR (Formally Funi) given the headache's there still dealing with.

I could honestly see both just cutting ties with him behind the scenes or continuing with him based on whatever internal review guidelines they use. Highly doubt either will release a public comment at this time or in the near future.

I really hope any professional decision won't be made just because of these declarations.
Sounds like a bad breakup with a persistent grudge.

We don't have any idea of what happened between these two, but the way she describes the "sexual assault" and "that Haimoto disparaged people on the autism spectrum" sound really off.

Please change the headline to name Mike himself or at least a different role of his, I don't want Aleks Le (Netflix dub VA for Thorfinn) getting heat for this.

Yeah, that wouldn’t be fair to Mr. Le.

As for the charges, this is very similar to the Justin Roiland case, so I’m presuming he will be let go as charges are pending as well.

Glad to see the name has been added to the article - pretty important considering there are two Vinland Saga dubs and frankly the Netflix one that Haimoto is not in is likely the one more people have seen given it's wider accessibility.

I agree with what others have said - it's likely CR, Sentai, and any other studios he's worked with directing-wise (i.e. Sound Cadence) are going to do their own internal reviews before deciding on what to do. I definitely feel for Avery, sounds like such an awful situation to be in.

Jeez, that's terrible. I remember becoming a fan of Mike through his performance as Banri Tada in Golden Time, but the real him sounds like an utter scumbag.

I'm sorry she had to go through this but I'm glad Avery was able to get out of the relationship and come clean about everything.

I'm almost half-wondering if Aleks will take over as Thorfinn in the Crunchyroll dub even if they'll probably just bring him back for the Netflix dub when they start doing season 2.

Accused. Keyword here. And the evidence is a Google Drive open to the public with documents that can be easily forged.

Wait til this actually gets handled in a proper court of law before starting up a shitstorm.

We don't need another Johnny Depp case.

But on the other hand if he is guilty, I am getting rid of my Sentai Works Vinland Saga Season 1 dvd even if their dub is better than Netflixs.

Using your position as a jumping off point, this exemplifies the issue some have with the supposed enlightened centrist, wait and see approach. It may seem neutral on the olsurface, but it can imply, or in your case explicitly say, an assumption that the claimant is mistaken, or worst lying. This, combined with often no adjustments being made while the investigating plays out among other issues, is why victims can so often underreport sexual violence and harassment.

Perhaps everyone should wait, relax and see how this all ends. For all we know this could be another Amber Heard situation. Let the court and perhaps jury find out the truth before picking sides.

I think I'll play devil's advocate here and wait for an investigation. Unlike Vic, this guy doesn't have a well-documented history backed up by many fans (including myself). I'm pretty sure he's guilty, but I wanna be certain before we start throwing around the notion of canceling a dude.

Off topic, but I'm not really impressed by his voice acting in any of his roles either way.
