January is a huge month for me.
In no particular order, my list:
1. Frieren season two (I expect the high quality to continue)
2. Sentenced to Be a Hero (I may watch for the high animation quality alone)
3. MHA Vigilantes season two (the manga got even better at this point)
4. Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 (obviously)
5. Cardfight (I’ve seen all the previous seasons)
6. Trigun Stargaze (Excited to see how it ends)
7. Medalist season two (my favorite sports anime right now)
8. Hell’s Paradise (season two looks like an improvement)

Having Trigun at #1, above Frieren and so far above JJK thats its not even on the list is... a choice I suppose... Even if you wanted to go for a sort of "unexpected choice of a sequel that kinda flew under the radar", medalist S2 is right there (also not on the list).

Of the returning anime: Frieren and Medalist for sure. For the new anime, I have never heard of any of them, so it will be pure discovery.

I'll be watching MF Ghost Season 3, Tamon's B-Side and Tune In to the Midnight Heart as my standard seasonals, while Trigun Stargaze will be watched on-delay and simuldubbed once I finish my rewatch of Stampede.

Uh... I wouldn't say that's how their recent stuff has been but ok. The trailer looks good though.

Not sure which of Frieren and Oshi no Ko I'm anticipating more. Both are among my top five favorites for the decade to date. The other sequel I'm heavily anticipating is the long-overdue Hell's Paradise continuation.
Among new series, definitely Fate/Strange Fake (since I've watched most of the rest of the franchise), SHIBOYUGI, and The Holy Grail of Eris from this list. I'll also add Roll Over and Die (a "banished from the Hero's party" story with distinct yuri and horror angles) and Sentenced to be a Hero, whose base concept intrigues me.
In all, there's much more than normal that I'm specifically anticipating, so I'm expecting an entertaining season.

Personally, I just hope Doga Kobo decides to do the funniest thing possible and end Oshi no Ko S3 on the final line of chapter 123 — the line that made the entire fandom explode.
There’s still a lot of good story material I’m looking forward to, even though I’ve long felt that I could identify the exact page where the manga starts going off the rails, and it’s in this season’s material — chapter 99, page 1. (Or maybe the transition from p1 to p2, but then you're getting into comics theory.) Even after that point, we get some solid development, including chapter 105, which could be great with appropriately cinematic execution, especially as the end of an episode. But to just leave anime-onlies on chapter 123, for a full year or more? It’d absolutely melt people’s brains, in the most glorious way possible.
As for the manga's ending… honestly, with all the furor surrounding it when it happened, I decided I didn’t need to have an opinion. There were enough people very loudly having theirs. Maybe after more time passes and we get some calmer voices looking at it when the Yen Press volumes and the anime get there. The live-action version ended in basically the same place, but took a different route to get there, which makes for an interesting comparison, though I’m not 100% sure which is the stronger ending.

People keep leaving off these lists The Invisible Man and his Future Wife. I find this strange as its source material seems more popular to me than some of the other adaptations that do get brought up. It's a cute romance similar to The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague. It also features respectful disability and gay representation, as opposed to Hana Kimi, which I expect will possibly offend some people.

Instead of me making an absurdly long list since I watch too much I will just say that it is once again busy anime time after a season that was relatively calm. If I had to mention my most wanted then it is easily Frieren.

1) JJK S3
2) Fate/Strange Fake
3) Polar Opposites
4) Mato Seihei
5) Jigokuraku I guess
Passing entirely on Oshi no Ko after the post-timeskip material continuously failed to live up to my hopes.

Of the returning shows, Freiren, MHA Vigilantes, Golden Kamuy, Hell's Paradise, Fire Force, and, with the switch to Passione, Chained Solider are the ones I'm looking forward to the most.
As to the newcomers, I've been enjoying reading Wash it All Away (this one's very cozy) and Does it Count if You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? quite a bit, so I'm looking forward to seeing them animated. Beyond those, In the Clear Moonlit Dusk is one I've been curious about, definitely up for some josei with Journal with Witch, the Samurai Troopers reboot/sequel gets my ancient Toonami brain spinning, and Narita helming is enough to get me onboard Fate/strange Fake even though I've only ever watched Fate/stay night. And beyond those, it's a whole lot of blind picks, which I'll have a better feel for once with the Trailer Watch Party next week.

I’m too lazy to type out an entire list so I’ll just say I’m watching 28 shows next season instead. It’ll be a lot more entertaining than this past season.

Aside from all the sequels, from watching PVs I picked up Journal with Witch and A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans. There were a bunch of other anime I thought were interesting too like Sentenced to Be a Hero, An Adventurer’s Daily Grind at Age 29, The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife and You and I Are Polar Opposites, but I'm probably only gonna watch those later on, after they're done. I just keep myself to not many anime per season these days and sequels are taking up too much time already
