How long has Netflix also had the original run? Did that show up with the revival?

Would be nice to see the previous live-action Onizuka series - especially the one from the 90s - show up on Netflix and/or home video at some point too

The OG live-action GTO series is already on Netflix, along with GTO Revival. The only thing missing is the theatrical film.

Yeah, Netflix has a surprising number of older JDramas. They still don't have Trick, though.... Sad

I only saw the 2024 TV series listed - is the 90s Live Action stuff under a different name?

GTO 1998 (including the 2024 special but missing the 1999 special and the movie):

(Note that the 1998 series has had a good ~80% of the background music replaced for licensing reasons, so expect a lot of cheap stock music, weird audio glitches where they weren't able to fully remove the original soundtrack, and ad nauseam repetition of the handful of original tracks they were able to still use.)

Oh snap, when I saw it came out I thought it was the original Japanese version coming to netflix, I had recently finished the live action Gokusen

Yeah, I saw something about this in a Amazon review for the Japanese Blu-ray Box so the video is most likely based off that release.
