Hey! how come none of the mounts on the entire B'tX made it to that list what a shame.

I always liked the raptor-like (name is similar to raptor but eludes me for the moment) mounts in Utawarerumono. They seemed quite useful in combat.

Fuunsaiki is a real horse who pilots a mecha horse.

*spits out drink* ...What? Shocked

Asia wanted to protect animals and gave a horse its own mecha?

Keep in mind that Chiyo is only 10 years old, so compared to most high schoolers she is very small. Not that it really changes that Tadakichi would be able to carry her around much.

The poll is also missing Victorique de Blois from Gosick, which would have been my top pick. Ah, well...

Hey, I don't see Kyu from Detective School Q on the choices list. Now that kid is an awesome detective. Naturally I'm skewed toward Conan, but still, Kyu could rival him in the kid detective category.

I'd actually forgotten Fuunsaiki was a horse piloting a mecha. Shows how long I've gone without watching the showing after all these years. X3

Nevermind them, what about the tiger god? His fur is even arrow proof somehow. Not that it would do the rider that much good if he gets shot...

Why doesn't L make the list of world's greatest anime detectives? Isn't it obvious why? *wah-wah-wah*...

Anyway, the best detective in the universe is Millennium Nocturne from Lost Universe; she even says so herself and she should know.

I think Thanksgiving tryptophan overload hindered this week's column and poll (I would have voted for L too), but I'm thankful we got one at all. Smile

Me, I want Hakuryuu, the mini dragon who turns into a Jeep from Saiyuki. All-terrain (except for river crossings), can carry four, no parking problems, and you have an adorable and unusual pet to ride around on your shoulder when you're not traveling.

Hmm, I'd actually send in the cast from either Un-Go or Hyouka for my detective needs actually, although given that both of them have kinda laidback/lazy detectives I might run into some trouble there...

YES. I love Mukkuru.

Where are Moro and the other two wolves from Mononoke btw? Riding a wolf god into battle sounds pretty damn awesome to me.

"5 centimetres per second" won? And by that much? My lack of faith in the wider anime consuming community's taste for good story telling has been reaffirmed. I think the only anime film that's ever left me more unsatisfied and dumbfounded was Nerawareta Gakuen...
