Nice interview. Megumi Han is a cutie, and she seemed more "open" in her interview than many other Japanese VAs. From what I've seen of the new Hunter x Hunter, she does a solid job as Gon. I wish her well in future projects (and I would also like to hear her voice a villain).

Funny she mentioned Digimon Adventure, since she then played Takeru in the game (of COURSE they replaced the voice with one 14 years younger, my exact problem with Japanese voice acting).
I was surprised to find out she's Keiko Han's daughter, having the same surname didn't really make me realize it--is Han her mother's married name or birthname? I noticed a lotta voice actresses say they liked Sailor Moon, but maybe Megumi couldn't watch it because her mother wasn't in it?

After watching Hunter x Hunter 2011 for awhile I kind of forget what the original sounds like... o wait Naruto... .
Joking aside though I am really enjoying her as Gon and I appreciate her performance/range of voice in doing Sumire in Chihayafuru 2.

IIRC, Takeru's original actress was a child actor who no longer performs. Or wasn't a child actor and fell ill. I know that leaves a lot of middle ground, but I distinctly remember there being a specific reason why the original actor wasn't used.

I'm aware she wasn't active (for a horrible reason, long story) but the fact that they aimed to cast a VA who was the same age as she was at the time is my problem with Japanese voice acting, they keep "replacing" VAs with younger ones over time--they prefer to aim for VAs in their early 20s. Neither were child actors.

Hasn't Hiroko Konishi largely retired from voice acting though? The PSP Digimon Adventure game came out years after she quit.
