Brothers Conflict OVAs Slated for December, February

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

An ad for the Brothers Conflict original video anime (OVA) at Tokyo's Ikebukuro Sunshine City revealed the volumes' release dates. The first OVA, "Seiya" (Holy Night), will be released on December 19, followed by the second OVA, "Honmei" (Favorite) on February 11, 2015. There will also be an event on April 26 at Tokyo Dome City Hall.

The volumes will have the themes of Christmas and Valentine's Day, and the staff and cast will return for them. Gero will return to perform the opening "MY SWEET HEAVEN," and ASAHINA Bros.+JULI — the group formed by the main voice cast — will also return for the new ending.

Sylph magazine's original romance novel project centers around a girl who suddenly gains 13 stepbrothers — from 32 years old down to 12 years old — when her father remarries. She joins the Asahina family under one roof at the Sunrise Residence complex.

The television anime series aired in 2013, and Funimation streamed the series for North America as it aired. Jun Matsumoto (Night Raid 1931, Persona -trinity soul-) directed anime at the studio Brains Base (Baccano!, Natsume's Book of Friends, Durarara!!, My Little Monster). Natsuko Takahashi (07-Ghost, Moyashimon, Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru) wrote the scripts, and Kumi Ishii (Oreimo, Red Garden, Rozen Maiden) adapted the characters in Udajo's original illustrations for animation.
