Trivia:

The title and lyrics of the ending song "Welcome to the X Dimension" contain references to the American physicist Hugh Everett III and his Many-Worlds Interpretation (MWI) of Quantum Physics.

Michio Mihara started working on episode 6 more than a year before the broadcast and animated 294 cuts for it. The remaining cuts were animated by Hironori Tanaka.

In episode 8, when Dandy and his crew land on a space junkyard, Meow finds an old refrigerator and wrestles with the blue goo that comes out of it. This is a reference to Cowboy Bebop episode 11, "Toys in the Attic", where Spike Spiegel jettisoned a refrigerator that contained a rotting Ganymede rock lobster he caught several years ago.
