Trivia:

In the opening sequence, on the car out of which Walker and Erika get out of, there is an image of The irregular at magic high school's Miyuki printed on the vehicle.

In episode 1, Walker, Erika, and Kyohei talk about such light novels as A Certain Magical Index, The irregular at magic high school, and Black Bullet. All three are Dengeki Bunko label titles, the same as Durarara!!.

In episode 2, Erika sings the song "rain tears" at karaoke, which is an insert song that was performed during the first season by Saki Fujita as her character Ruri Hijibe.

In episode 4, when the Orihara sisters are walking on the main drag of Ikebukuro, a Uniqlo can be seen. This Uniqlo was only built in 2013, and did not exist at the time of the original novel's publishing.

In episode 4, when the Orihara sisters are riding a moving sidewalk, they are in fact inside of Ikebukuro's Sunshine City shopping mall.

In episode 5, a poster at the Ikebukuro Sunshine movie theater shows a poster for the Persona 3 the Movie #2 Midsummer Knight's Dream film. The film and Durarara!! are both produced by Aniplex.

In episode 6, in the chat room, various real-life Ikebukuro locations are mentioned including the Namja Town indoor amusement park and the Alpa shopping center, both of which are inside the Sunshine City shopping mall. A collaboration between Durarara!!×2 Shō and Namja Town was going on during the time of the anime's broadcast.

In episode 9, a poster featuring the key visual for the anime World Conquest Zvezda Plot is behind Akane when she is waiting at the owl statue within Ikebukuro Station's east exit. Akane's voice actress, Misaki Kuno, voiced the main lead in that anime.

In episode 10, the restaurant at which Namie and Akane are eating is Ikebukuro's Milky Way.

In episode 10, a screen on a building features a screen and a poster featuring the Samurai Flamenco anime.

In episode 11, Walker's lighter features Komoe from A Certain Magical Index, another Dengeki Bunko series.

In episode 12, Walker calls Anri a Flame Haze. This is a term used in the Shakugan no Shana novel and anime series.

In Episode 12, (Upon seeing Sonohara Anri fighting with a katana) Karisawa Erika afterwards, mentions Sonohara Anri could be the clone of "Yoto Muramasa" with mega jumbo breasts. Coincidentally, "Yoto Muramasa" is a weapon from "Final Fantasy Dimensions" obtainable only by trading the item: "Silver Tail".
