Tri-Ace's role-playing game to be released this year on the PSP

Konami began streaming the opening movie for tri-Ace's Frontier Gate video game on Thursday. Konami will release the role-playing game on the PlayStation Portable console. Konami debuted the trailer at the "Konami Media Conference 2011" live broadcasting event on Thursday, which is currently being streamed on the Ustream website.

In Frontier Gate, up to three players can join together for ad-hoc gameplay using six characters, as each player controls a lead warrior and his or her partner. The game has three different storylines, and the story changes as the player makes new friendships.

Frontier Gate is tri-Ace's debut PSP game. The developer is known for the Star Ocean video game franchise and the Resonance of Fate video game. Tri-Ace is also currently developing the game Beyond the Labyrinth.

Konami began streaming two gameplay videos earlier this month, and began streaming a teaser trailer for the game in June.
