posted on by Egan Loo
The anime studio Sunrise announced on Saturday that the distributor VAP will release its Future GPX Cyber Formula television anime series in a Blu-ray Disc box set on December 21, and the final two episodes will be included in stereoscopic 3D. Sunrise made the announcement at its Sunrise Festival 2011 Natsu Arashi's Cyber Formula Night! event in Tokyo.
The Future GPX Cyber Formula BD All Rounds Collection ~TV Period~ box will feature all 37 episodes of the science-fiction car-racing anime. As a bonus extra, the last two episodes are also encoded in stereoscopic 3D using the side-by-side method. The box will also include the "Graffiti" compilation episode, footage from Saturday's event, and a booklet. The anime's character designer Takahiro Yoshimatsu will illustrate the box, which will cost 42,000 yen (about US$545).
