The official website for director Hiroyuki Imaishi's (Dead Leaves, Gurren Lagann, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt) new animation studio Trigger has gone live. The website features an illustration from Imaishi, and visitors can download a wallpaper version of the illustration at the site. The company also has an official Facebook page.
On the website's "About Us" page, animator Masahiko Ohtsuka is listed as the company's representative director, while Imaishi and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt producer Kazuya Masumoto are listed as company board members. The website also notes that the company was established on August 22.
The new studio is currently recruiting new staff. The website notes that three-month interns will receive a monthly salary of 150,000 yen (about US$1,950), and regular employees will receive a monthly salary of 180,000 yen (about US$2,340). Applicants must be under 25 years old, have good communication skills, be proficient in Mircrosoft Excel and Adobe Photoshop, and must have a driver's license.
Ohtsuka posted on his Twitter account on Thursday that he, Imaishi and others had established a new studio.
Ohtsuka acknowledged in that Twitter post that Trigger is still a small startup studio, but added that they want to strive to make interesting works. The studio's website notes that the November issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Newtype magazine is publishing a one-page introductory article on Saturday.
Thanks to braves for the tip.
