Good Smile Racing Hatsune Miku BMW Wins Super GT300 Round 2

The Good Smile Racing Hatsune Miku BMW car won its first Super GT300 race of the season at Shizuoka Prefecture's Fuji Speedway on Friday. Drivers Nobuteru Taniguchi and Tatsuya Kataoka turned in a time of 3:21'52.575 on a rain-slick racetrack in this season's round 2 race. The team had placed third at Okayama Prefecture's Okayama International Circuit in the championship's first round on April 1.
The Evangelion RT TEST TYPE-01 Apple Shiden car came in at #2 on Friday. The Good Smile Racing ProjectMirai BMW car (first car in the below video) placed eleventh in the round 2 race.
The Good Smile Racing Hatsune Miku BMW car also took the crown for the 2011 GT300 championship in October. The team had won round 3 at the Super GT International Series Malaysia at the Sepang Circuit in June, and again at round 6 at the Fuji Speedway in September.
