Rock Band Linkin Park's Nendoroid Petite Figures Unveiled

GSC to sell deformed figures in September after revealing designs in charity event

Figure maker Good Smile Company revealed the prototypes for its Nendoroid Petite interpretation of the rock band Linkin Park on Thursday. The six figures recreate the band members "as if they were in the middle of a live performance," complete with instruments and a special stage pedestal (along with standard Nendoroid Petite stands). The figures will go on sale in September.

Good Smile Company and the band unveiled the designs during a charity art show event to support the victims of the March 11 Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) disaster last November.

Linkin Park's song "The Catalyst" from the A Thousand Suns album was used in the opening movie of the Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. arcade game. The band's earlier music video for its song "Breaking the Habit" involved animator Kazuto Nakazawa (Kill Bill, Samurai Champloo, Genius Party Beyond) and Tokyo-based G.D.H. International. Linkin Park's DJ Joe Hahn also remixed supercell's "Black Rock Shooter" song for a bonus extra stop-motion video included with the first Black Rock Shooter anime.
