Yoshinori Ono: Street Fighter Live-Action Series in Development (Update 2)

Series to be set in Japan and will explore history of Ken, Ryu

Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono announced at San Diego Comic Con on Thursday that a live-action feature-length series titled Street Fighter Assassin's Fist is currently in development. The series is being produced by the makers of the 2010 Street Fighter: Legacy short film. Content Media Corpo will distribute the title globally in 2013.

The series will be set in Japan and will explore the history of Ken and Ryu. The scripts for the series are completed, but filming on the series has not yet started. The project was created by Joey Ansah, who was also responsible for Street Fighter: Legacy, and Ansah has co-written the script for the project alongside Christian Howard, who starred in Legacy. The series will be produced by Jacqueline Quella, who also produced Street Fighter: Legacy.
