Blogger offers ticket to 1 person who pre-orders mascot Nendoroid & shoots photo

Japan-based pop culture blogger and television show host Danny Choo announced on his blog last week that he will offer a ticket to Japan to one person who pre-orders Choo and Good Smile Company's upcoming Mirai Suenaga Nendoroid figure. Choo revealed more details about the ticket giveaway on Wednesday.

The giveaway drawing is open to people who pre-ordered or will pre-order the figure from any retailer before September 18. Once the figure arrives, each person must take a photo and upload the photo to Facebook or Twitter. In December, Choo will make a post where can people can add links to their photos, and one of them will be randomly chosen as the winner of the round-trip (return-trip in Choo's British English) plane ticket.

Choo is collaborating with Good Smile Company to release the figure in December. Mirai Suenaga is Choo's mascot character for his Culture Japan projects.

The 10-centimeter (4-inch) tall figure will retail for 4,000 yen (about US$51). The figure will include several facial expressions, a mini Japanese flag, a mini Moekana syllabary card deck, Mira's sidekick Retrokyu, and a miniature itasha (artwork-wrapped car) decorated with images of Mirai by Tasuku Iizuki.

Mirai debuted as an illustration in 2007, and she has since appeared in the Mayo Chiki! and Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise anime as well as other media. Choo and Good Smile Company also previously collaborated in March to create Moekana, a set of flash cards aimed at individuals who are trying to learn the Japanese hiragana syllabary.
