Gatchaman Crowds Art Contest

posted on by Bamboo Dong
Contest hosted by Tachikawa Tourism Bureau.

The Tourism Bureau of Tachikawa, the city in which Gatchaman Crowds is set, is holding an art contest to promote sight-seeing and tourism in the city. The contest is being called "Gatcha!-e" ("Gatcha! Image/Illustration") and is currently accepting entries.

The "social contest" encourages fans to draw anything they want, as long as it combines Gatchaman Crowds and Tachikawa, and post the entry on Twitter.

For fans whose artwork is selected, the art piece will be on display at the Autumn Rakuichi 2013 event from November 3 through 4, hosted in Tachikawa. In addition, winners will receive a copy of the Gatchaman Crowds Kinoko Design Works book, autographed by original character designer Kinoko, as well as other exclusive merchandise.

The contest is accepting entries through October 27 at 11:59 PM JST, and the only requirements are that Tachikawa is present in the background, and that it includes at least one of the characters that appears in Gatchaman Crowds.

To enter, entrants must follow the official Twitter account of the Tachikawa Bureau of Tourism, then post an eligible illustration along with the hashtag #gatcha_e.

To view all the entries so far, people can search Twitter for the hashtag #gatcha_e.
