The blog for Twitter Japan looked at 2013's most popular hashtags, and anime-related properties dominated.

Here's the Top 10:

  1. #艦これ (#kancolle)
  2. #あまちゃん (#amachan, a Japanese TV drama that premiered April 1)
  3. #lovelive (A catch-all for the Love Live! franchise)
  4. #wbc (World Baseball Classic)
  5. #shingeki (Attack on Titan)
  6. #ff14 (Final Fantay XIV)
  7. #tv_free (Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club)
  8. #railgun (A Certain Scientific Railgun)
  9. #vividred (Vividred Operation)
  10. #c84 (Comic Market 84)

Seven (or eight, depending on if you want to count Comiket 84) out of ten isn't bad.
