The band LOVERIN TAMBURIN announced on Facebook that the band will perform the English version of the original Sailor Moon theme song at their concert at Anime Weekend Atlanta. The opening song uses the same tune as "Moonlight Densetstu" but replaces the lyrics.
The original version of the song was covered by idol group Momoiro Clover Z for the Sailor Moon stage play and tribute CD. The CD also includes a French cover of the song by Clémentine.
LOVERIN TAMBURIN is comprised of vocalist Aya and pianist and programmer Akihiro. The band debuted with the opening theme "Aishitageru" for the 2006 anime adaptation of Nippon Ichi Software's Disgaea video game franchise. The band also performed Nanatsuiro Drops' ending theme "mo.o!" The band's song "DA・SHI・TE" will be used in Nippon Ichi Software's Oedo Blacksmith PlayStation Vita game.
Anime Weekend Atlanta will be held on September 26-28 at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel, the Cobb Galleria Centre, and the Sheraton Suites Galleria. The convention's other guests include hip-hop artists Home Made Kazoku, singer MIQ, the band Shonen Knife, vocaloid artists ZANIO and Hachioji-P, and voice actors Junichi Suwabe, Tohru Furuya, and Yūko Minaguchi.
