posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
This year's 30th issue of Kodansha's Shonen Magazine includes a cross-over image between Seimaru Amagi and Fumiya Sato's Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo R (Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo Returns) manga and the sci-fi/horror American television series The X-Files. Kindaichi stands in for David Duchovny's Fox Mulder alongside Miyuki Nanase as Gillian Anderson's Dana Scully.

The promotional image was created to announce The X-Files' 2016 revival mini-series' rental release. The six -episodes were released in Japan on three Blu-ray and DVD discs and will be available to rent in Japan starting on July 2.
Amagi and Sato launched the Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo R manga in 2012 as a sequel to the 1992 manga Kindaichi Case Files. Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo R has inspired two anime series adaptations. Crunchyroll streamed both series as they aired in Japan.
