High Speed! -Free! Starting Days- Film's Event Streams Digest Video

The official website for the High Speed! -Free! Starting Days- anime film began streaming a digest video of the "Iwatobi Chūgaku Suiei-bu Kirokukai Otsukaresama Party" (Iwatobi Junior High School Swimming Club Meet Appreciation Party) event on Friday. The video features the anime's main cast speaking, drawing, and reading lines at the event, which was held at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan arena in Tokyo on March 19.
The Blu-ray Disc and DVD release for the event will ship on August 18. The first copies will include a special sleeve, an illustrated event visual board, and a full-color booklet with event photographs. The release will also feature the event opening promotional video, as well as promotional videos for the Free! -Timeless Medley- and Free! -Take Your Marks- anime films. The Blu-ray Disc release will cost 6,800 yen (about US$61), and the DVD release will cost 5,800 yen (US$52).
The event announced that High Speed! -Free! Starting Days- film would get two anime compilation films as well as an all-new theatrical anime project. The Free! -Timeless Medley- Kizuna (Bonds) compilation film opened on April 22, and the Free! -Timeless Medley- Yakusoku (Promise) compilation film will open on July 1. Both films also include new footage. The Kizuna film focuses on the members of the IWAtobi Swim Club, and the Yakusoku film will focus on Rin and Sousuke.
The Free! -Take Your Marks- theatrical anime project is a sequel to Free! Timeless Medley, and it will screen in theaters in Japan this fall. The theatrical anime will take place in early spring as Haruka is about to graduate from high school.
