Figure Skating Pair Ryuichi Kihara, Miu Suzaki Perform to Yuri!! on Ice

Figure skating pair Ryuichi Kihara and Miu Suzaki were spotted performing this season's short program at Skate Detroit to a track that will be familiar to Yuri on Ice fans. In the video, the skaters are seen practicing to the anime's namesake track which is used as Yūri Katsuki's Free Skate background music.

Fittingly, in the anime the track is an original composition put together by Yūri's friend while the characters are practicing in Detroit.

The duo will be performing to the track for their Short Program in upcoming competitions and to "Romeo and Juliet" for the Free Program.

The duo have skated together since 2015 and have previously performed together to tracks from Star Wars and Mission Impossible.

Yuri!! on Ice has successfully resonated with professional skaters since it debuted last year. Swiss figure skater Stéphane Lambiel and Japanese figure skater Nobunari Oda appeared in the anime. Self-professed fan and Olympic skater Johnny Weir is appearing at Crunchyroll Expo as a guest and Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva followed the series closely on Twitter.
