Watch Mine Yoshizaki Live Draw Kemono Friends' Serval

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The new Kemono Friends anime series has run into its share of hiccups since its announcement just five days ago. Issues with audition scripts and former director TATSUKI have overshadowed some of the excitement for the show. Be it as it may, Kemono Friends is still chugging along. A new collaboration with Hyogo prefecture's Kobe Animal Kingdom zoo is kicking off in October, a stage play is scheduled for November, and Sega has a new game based on the franchise in the works.

Series conceptual artist Mine Yoshizaki is also still on board with the franchise. Wacom, a company that makes digital drawing tablets, caught up with Yoshizaki for one of its live drawing videos. In the video filmed in August, the Sgt. Frog manga creator uses a Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 tablet to draw the face of Kemono Friends, Serval.

Yoshizaki also participated in an interview with Wacom to talk about Sgt. Frog hitting the big 2-0 and his work on Kemono Friends. Yoshizaki said that in all, he has designed something close to 300 different Kemono Friends characters for the anime series and various collaborations.
