Gundam RX-78-2 Prepares to Clash with Hello Kitty in Space

Hello Kitty is going to need to get her mecha out of retirement for her latest cross-over with Mobile Suit Gundam. Both Sanrio's iconic cat and the ground-breaking mecha series are celebrating their 45th and 40th anniversaries, respectively. Both franchises are squaring off on a special website and in a series of animated videos.
In the first episode, Haro calls out to Hello Kitty and shows her Amuro Ray inside the RX-78-2. Hello Kitty decides to take off into space on her own after seeing Amuro in battle.
The official website lets visitors climb inside one of the characters' mechas giving the website either a sci-fi or cutesy feel. Fans can also use the LINE app and follow the "Gundam/Kitty" LINE official account and select which to support. Pariticpants have a chance to win limited edition goods.
Real-escape experts SCRAP are designing a puzzle event based on Gundam vs. Hello Kitty. More details will be announced at the end of April followed by launch this summer.
