Fantasia 2000 is coming

Fantasia 2000 is right around the corner.
Fantasia, Montreal's International Festival of Fantastic Cinema started in 1996 as Fant-Asia, Montreal's Asian Film Festival featuring almost exclusively movies from Hong Kong. Over the years Fantasia expanded to include Korean movies, Japanese movies and Anime, European Horror and a few more films from all over the world.
Of particular interest to Anime Fans will be Fantasia's selection of Anime. In the past Fantasia featured the world premiere of Perfect Blue (1996), other Anime shown in past years include Jin-Roh, Spriggan, Armitage IIIrd, Black Jack, Tenchi Muyo! in Love 2 and Lupin. Many of these films were shown at Fantasia before their Japanese releases.
Fantasia 2000 will take place from July 13th to July 31st at Montreal's Imperial theatre. This year's schedule has not yet been released, but word has it that Anime fans will be very happy. Sometime next week we should have more info for you.
