Bandai and Sprint Release Wireless Games

posted on by Garry Berryhill
Bandai has teamed up with Sprint to release a series of games for cellular phones in the PCS Vision series.

Cell phone games just got a little more fun. A new deal between Bandai America, Inc. and Sprint will bring a series of Bandai-developed games to users of the PCS Vision service.

Bandai has created a series of seven games, including two based on perennial fan favorite Mobile Suit Gundam. Chip Novick, Sprint's vice president of consumer marketing for PCS, spoke highly of the joint venture, saying it would allow users "to have fun in an otherwise wasted moment - on a device they always have with them."

A Bandai Wireless website has been launched to provide potential customers with more information. Bandai currently runs a cellular phone game network in Japan with over 4 million subscribers.
