Tokyopop To Publish Battle Royale

Tokyopop will publish the manga that spawned the cult classic movie, with Keith Giffen writing the adaptation.
The manga, set in a fascist Japan that won WWII, focuses on the story of a group of junior high students who are sent to a small island to fight to the death. The manga was created by Koushun Takami and Masayuki Taguchi, and was later adapted into film by the late Kinji Fukusaku.
