New Yamato in 2006

According to a message on the producer's website, the new Yamato TV series, Uchū Senkan Yamato Fukkatsuhin (Space Battleship Yamato: Rebirth Chapter), will be released in the summer of 2006. The new series, whose development is said to have been spurred by the online popularity of Yamato, will have a new scenario and characters. The new series is being produced by Yoshinori Nishizaki.
