Bandai Visual to produce anime adaptation of light novel series
According to an announcement made in the latest Dengeki Bootleg, an ironically titled online newsletter released by the publishing group MediaWorks, the two-volume light novel series Shigofumi - Stories of Last Letter by Ryo Amamiya will be made into a broadcast television anime series. The fantasy novel series first debuted in October of 2006.
Rumors that the series would become an anime first surfaced in January, when it was announced that MediaWorks was trying to get support for anime adaptation proposals. The latest information indicates that the series will debut on the Japanese airwaves in 2008 and will be produced by Bandai Visual. Announcements about where and when the series will air are forthcoming.
