Production I.G Confirms Involvement in Animated Dante's Inferno Project (Updated)

The Japanese anime studio Production I.G has confirmed at its Anime Expo panel on Sunday that it is involved in the animated version of Electronic Arts' Dante's Inferno game with the Film Roman production company. Kite director Yasuomi Umetsu already revealed the project on his blog in May. Umetsu, Ergo Proxy director Shukou Murase, and other directors will oversee the six parts of the anthology.
Film Roman and Production I.G will provide more details of the animated project and show a preview at Comic-Con International in San Diego on July 23. Film Roman is a subsidiary of Starz Media, the parent company of Manga Entertainment.
