Juné Manga Adds Makoto Tateno's Yellow 2 Boys-Love Manga (Update 2)

posted on by Egan Loo
Yellow sequel has only been released on Japanese mobile devices before

801 Media, a boys-love imprint of Digital Manga Publishing, has revealed in a Tuesday blog entry that it licensed Makoto Tateno's Yellow 2 manga. 801 Media published the first Yellow manga series in English between 2005 and 2006, and it plans to reissue the four volumes of the original series in two omnibus volumes (pictured at right).

However, the Yellow 2 sequel has only been released on Japanese mobile devices before and has not been yet printed in Japan. 801 Media hopes to launch the sequel's 60-page episode this October, just in time for a limited number of printed copies to be available at Yaoi-Con 2009.

Update: Digital Manga Publishing itself published the first printing of Yellow in 2005 to 2006, since the 801 Media imprint had not yet been established yet. 801 Media will, however, publish both the upcoming Yellow omnibus volumes and the Yellow 2 sequel. Thanks, sunflower.

Update 2: Digital Manga production staffer Michelle Mauk confirmed the English omnibus reprinting of Yellow and the English publication of Yellow 2. However, both will be published under Digital Manga's Juné Manga imprint, not 801 Media. Yellow 2, which will ship in a mini-comic format with about 60 pages, does not have a finalized release date yet
