The YouTube website's Kadokawa Anime Channel and the Anime Newtype Channel website have begun streaming each weekly episode of the Kiddy Girl-and anime series in Japanese for free for 24 hours. The weekly streaming lasts from Thursday at 10:00 p.m. to Friday at 9:59 p.m. Japan Standard Time (Thursday at 9:00 a.m. to Friday at 8:59 a.m. EDT). The first episode premiered on Japanese television on October 15.
Kiddy Girl-and is a spinoff from the Kiddy Grade anime franchise. The story is set in the Star Century year 0379, roughly two decades after the original Kiddy Grade anime and about five centuries after our present day. The spirited Ascoeur (Aya Uchida) and serious Q-feuille (Aya Gōda) work for the galactic government known as GTO. The two girls are training to be ES, GTO's finest secret agents with special abilities.
