Shueisha to Launch Monthly Grand Jump Premium Magazine
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The final 21st/22nd issue of Shueisha's Super Jump magazine is announcing on Wednesday that Shueisha will launch a new monthly manga magazine called Grand Jump Premium in December. The magazine will serialize Araki Joh (Bartender, Sommelier) and Hiyoko Kobayashi's (Oku-sama wa Joshi Kōsei, Peridot) gourmet manga titled Oui Chef. Norifusa Mita (Dragon Zakura), Junichi Nojo (Naki no Ryu), and Seiki Tsuchida (Henshū Ou) will also write manga for Grand Jump Premium.
This news follows Shueisha's earlier announcement that it would end its Business Jump and Super Jump magazines and merge them into the new semi-monthly seinen manga magazine Grand Jump in November. Grand Jump is intended "for liberated adults" and will continue to serialize nine manga from Business Jump and three from Super Jump in addition to launching new titles. The first issue will be available on November 16 in Japan.
