OreShura Romantic Comedy Light Novels Get TV Anime (Updated)
posted on by Egan Loo
This year's 14th issue of Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine is revealing on Friday that an anime of the Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru (Oreshura) romantic comedy franchise has been green-lit. Yūji Yūji's original light novel series follows a boy named Eita Kidō whose childhood friend Chiwa Harusaki is feuding with his girlfriend Masuzu Natsukawa for his affections. Young Gangan has been running Marimo's four-panel manga adaptation of the light novels since last October.
Yūji launched the light novel series last year, and the fifth volume is shipping this month, along with the first compiled book volume of Marimo's four-panel manga version. Nanasuke launched the first manga adaptation in Monthly Gangan Joker magazine last summer, and his third volume is also shipping this month. Shinya Inase (Hoshi no Umi no Amuri) launched still another manga adaptation, Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru+H, and its first volume is arriving this month as well.
The domain name Oreshura.net was registered under the Japanese production company Aniplex's name on June 15, although no website is currently at the address. The teaser ad revealed later last month that the "Oreshura Next Project" is launching.
