Slice-of-life comedy about government ward office workers to premiere on July 4

The media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream the anime adaptation of Karino Takatsu's Servant × Service manga. Crunchyroll will premiere the series on July 4 at 4:00 p.m. EDT for users in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Central America, and South America.

Yasutaka Yamamoto (Valkyria Chronicles, Squid Girl Season 2, Problem children are coming from another world, aren't they?) is directing Servant × Service at A-1 Pictures off of scripts by Taketo Shimoyama (Bleach, Gintama, Gintama'). Terumi Nishii (Kimi no Iru Machi, Penguindrum) is adapting Takatsu's character designs for animation, Half H・P Studio is handling the sound production, and Akiko Fujita (Blade of the Immortal, Happy Kappy, Chibi Devi!) is serving as sound director. Monaca (Working!!) is composing the music.

The slice-of-life comedy manga centers on the employees of a government ward office in a city in Hokkaido. The story follows the daily lives of the health and welfare division members. The series stars Ai Kayano, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Mai Nakahara, Aki Toyosaki, Takahiro Sakurai, Rumi Ookubo, and Mikako Takahashi.

The anime will premiere in Japan on July 4.

Aniplex of America announced last week that it has licensed the show and plans to release it on home video.
