Kadokawa's Newtype Ace Manga Magazine Ends Publication

Tiger & Bunny, Gargantia, Yamato 2199, Macross the First, others go online

The August issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype Ace magazine announced on Wednesday that the magazine is ceasing publication, effective immediately. The magazine listed where the next chapters of its various manga titles will appear:

Kadokawa Niconico Ace website, Vol. 94 (August 20)

  • Tiger & Bunny manga
  • Ginga Kikōtai Majestic Prince
  • Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet manga

Kadokawa Niconico Ace website, Vol. 95 (August 27)

  • Space Battleship Yamato 2199 manga
  • Fantasista Doll Mix manga (also moving to Comptiq magazine as of the September issue on August 10)
  • Code Geass: Oz the Reflection manga (also moving to Monthly Comp Ace magazine as of the October issue on August 26)

Kadokawa Niconico Ace website, Vol. 98 (September 17)

  • Kōkaku no Pandora -Ghost Urn-

Kadokawa Niconico Ace website, Vol. 99 (September 24)

  • Full Metal Panic! Another manga

To end with final chapters in compiled book volume form

  • Kidō Senshi Gundam UC: Niji ni Norenakatta Otoko (Mobile Suit Gundam UC: The Man Who Could Not Ride the Rainbow) manga

Kadokawa launched Newtype Ace to publish tie-in manga for popular anime and other media franchises on September 10, 2011. Its initial lineup included Tiger & Bunny, Last Exile, Sacred Seven, Blood-C, Towanoquon, Un-Go, Asura's Wrath, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross The First, and Border Break.
