PlayStation 4 Slated for February 22 in Japan

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan announced on Monday at the SCEJA Press Conference that the PlayStation 4 console will launch in Japan on February 22, 2014. The system will retail for 41,979 yen (about US$421). A set bundling the PlayStation Camera will also be sold for 46,179 (US$463) yen. Pre-orders will open on October 5.

Launch titles in Japan include Tottemo E Mahjong Plus, Battlefield 4, FIFA 14 World Class Soccer, Natural Doctrine, Strider, Dynasty Warriors 8 with Moushouden, Call of Duty Ghost, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Test, Yakuza Restoration!, Killzone Shadow Fall, Doki-Doki Universe (tentative title), DriveClub, Knack, Hohokum, Resogun, Dream Club: Host Girl on Stage, Nikori no Puzzle 4 Sūdoku, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, and Watch Dogs.

The PlayStation 4 will launch in the United States and Canada on November 15, and in Europe and Latin America on November 29. It will cost US$399, 399 Euros, or 349 British pounds.
