Crunchyroll to Stream Live-Action Hakuba no Ōji-sama

Show of Yukizou Saku's romance manga to launch on October 5

Video service Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that it will stream the live-action romance series Hakuba no Ōji-sama. The streaming will be available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and South America starting on October 5 at 2:00 a.m. EDT.

The story follows a 32-year-old Takako Hara, who teaches at an all-girl's school and begins a relationship with a new teacher, Kotarō Ozu, a man seven years her junior. Takahiro Miura (Bad Boys) will play Kotarō, and Shunsuke Nakamura (Kamen Rider Agito film) will play Akio Kurosawa, a senior teacher with whom Takako previously had an adulterous relationship. Other cast members include Hirofumi Arai as another potential love interest, Mayuko Kawakita, and Mio Yuuki.

Yukizou Saku launched the original Hakuba no Ōji-sama manga in Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine in 2005. The 10th and final compiled volume shipped in Japan in 2008.
