posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Japanese market research firm Oricon charts reported last week that Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga has sold 130.15 million copies since Oricon began reporting on book sales in 2009. It also sold 17.207 million copies so far this year alone. The series has 72 volumes with a total of 300 million copies in print.

The 71st volume of Oda's One Piece manga sold 1.5 million copies in the first three days of its release in July. The 72nd volume went on sale on November 1 and has sold 1.54 million copies in three days. A One Piece exhibition had about 510,000 visitors in Tokyo alone, and it is moving overseas for the first time to Taiwan.
