Cartoon Network Head Stu Snyder to Step Down

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Time Warner's Turner Animation president and chief operating officer Stu Snyder will leave his position at the end of the month. Snyder has overseen Cartoon Network and Time Warner's animation division for six years. No replacement is named at this time.

"It is with mixed emotions that I share with you the news that I will be leaving the company at the end of the month," Snyder wrote in an email. "I have had the privilege of working and partnering with some of the most creative, talented and fun people in the business, who I will miss working with every day."

Snyder is leaving among recent management changes at Turner. Former chief financial officer John Martin was promoted to chief executive of Turner and the company's head of sales and distribution, David Levy, was promoted to president.

An anonymous source told The Los Angeles Times that growing tensions between Synder and Levy caused the former to resign.
